Kevin Lee, MD

Medical Director

Dr. Kevin Lee graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Johns Hopkins University, then attended the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Dr. Lee specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology, small-incision sutureless cataract surgery, and laser vision correction. He is certified to perform laser (or femto) cataract surgery. He has served the San Francisco community since 2007 and is the past chief of ophthalmology at St. Mary's Medical Center.

Dr. Lee teaches ophthalmic surgery at California Pacific Medical Center and is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) and the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery (ASCRS). He is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO).

In his free time, he enjoys photography, home improvement projects and is an avid cyclist.

Margaret (Peggy) Liu, MD

Assistant Medical Director

Dr. Margaret P. Liu is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist who joined the Pacific Vision Foundation community in 2012. She is currently the Medical Director of the Pacific Vision Surgery Center, Chief of the Cornea Service in the Department of Ophthalmology at CPMC, and Founder and CEO of the San Francisco Eye Institute.

Dr. Liu was born in Taiwan and grew up in New York where she trained at SUNY Downstate Medical Center before completing her Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery Fellowship at The Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins. Her expertise has led to national lecture invitations or paper presentations at conferences held by The Wilmer Eye Institute, The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She has also been featured in several media outlets including Business Insider, MSN Lifestyle, and Bottom Line Health.

Dr. Liu balances her work in Ophthalmology with quality time spent with her family and friends at home or exploring, but usually eating. She especially loves watching her two little ones grow and taking the time to admire the world through their eyes.

Michael Sengmanivong, MHA

Administrator

Michael Sengmanivong has been working in the healthcare field for the past 15 years, including recent posts as an Administrator at the Surgery Center of Long Beach and the Doctors Outpatient Center for Surgery in Beverly Hills. Michael recently completed his Masters of Healthcare Administration at California State University.

Outside of work, Michael believes in having a good work life balance.  He enjoys traveling, playing tennis and listening to music.
